Designing boots means understanding more than surface appearance. I’ve always been interested in form, and how aesthetics and structural decisions inform one another. With creative problem solving, the idea can become reality.
Spur Belt
I developed the Spur Belt: a strap that serves as an ornate accessory for your boot. It allowed interchangeability with a fixed style. It was featured in a Cowboys and Indians photoshoot, and like all things Rocketbuster, custom versions were created for clients.
Shoulder Bag & Strappy Mule
Created as a set and a revamp of the popular Winchester tall top, the tooled shoulder bag shared several details to compliment its strapped counterpart.
New Silhouttes
Several structural advancements occured during my tenure. The introduction of 3” heels required pattern adjustments to maintain balance. Zipper boots emerged as a prominent design direction, posing new considerations and challenges. Dyed heels expanded how color could extend beyond the foot. These elements invited a new demographic that opted for a modern city boot with flair.
